## Initial consultation

During our initial consult, we do a deep, comprehensive dive into your case. We'll review current and past history, explore blood work and identify key areas that need support. We create a strategic care plan. You leave with a clear plan and actionable steps to support your health goals

## Follow up appointments

Follow-ups allow for strategic monitoring and adjustments to your plan as things changes. Your first 3 follow-ups are generally spaced 4 weeks apart to review any updated lab work and ensure we're on the right track. Subsequent follow-ups are scheduled at a frequency that makes sense for your treatment plan and goals.

Is Naturopathic Medicine Covered?

Naturopathic medicine appointments are covered by most extended health plans. Check with your insurance provider as every plan varies.

I'm working with a Fertility clinic, can I also work with a Naturopathic Doctor?

Absolutely. The goal of naturopathic medicine is to support your health goals and improve the outcomes of your fertility treatments or reproductive care.&nbsp;

Dr. Ashley is experienced with working on an integrative team and ensures your treatment plan doesn't interfere with your Fertility treatments. She uses tools like nutrition, targeted supplementation, and missing blood work to enhance to your treatment strategy.

Can I get my lab work done through a Naturopathic Doctor?

Yes, much like your medical doctor, Naturopathic Doctors can write a requisition for any testing provided through&nbsp; LifeLabs. However, the cost of testing is not covered through MSP. Dr. Ashley also offers a wide variety of additional testing such as DUTCH hormone testing, SIBO, Microbiome testing, and others through private professional laboratories (when indicated).

Can Naturopathic Doctors write prescriptions for medications?

Dr. Ashley is certified with Prescriptive Authority. If appropriate, she can prescribe or renew prescriptions. Dr. Ashley also has advanced training in hormone replacement therapy.

What is the training and scope of Naturopathic Doctors?

Naturopathic Doctors are licensed primary healthcare providers that require a minimum 8-year post-secondary education. This includes a Bachelor’s Degree with specific medical prerequisites, in addition to attending a 4-year naturopathic medical program at an accredited Naturopathic College.

Naturopathic Doctors are required to pass two North American standardized licensing exams, as well as complete practical board exams in the province of BC in order to receive licensing.

Dr. Ashley obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry with Cooperative studies in Research and Development. She received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from The Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.&nbsp;

Dr. Ashley is a member in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC).
