SERVICES ยท IRON INFUSIONS
Iron infusions, guided by your bloodwork
Constant fatigue, brain fog and low energy can be signs of low iron. When oral supplements are not enough, an iron infusion can replenish your stores directly, with a clear assessment and plan from Dr. Ashley Damm before you ever sit in the chair.
SYMPTOMS
Signs your iron may be low
Iron deficiency often builds slowly, so many people get used to feeling worn down. If several of these sound familiar, it is worth checking your levels.
WHY INFUSE
Iron infusions vs. oral iron supplements
Oral iron works well for some people. For others, an infusion is a more effective and better tolerated way to restore iron.
Replenishes iron directly
Iron goes straight into your bloodstream, so it does not depend on how well your gut absorbs it. This matters if you have absorption challenges or inflammation that blocks uptake.
Gentler on digestion
Oral iron commonly causes constipation, nausea and stomach upset. Infusions bypass the digestive tract, which can be a relief if you could not tolerate tablets.
Fewer doses, faster rebuilding
Instead of taking pills daily for months, your iron is replaced in one or a small number of visits, so you can start rebuilding sooner and skip the daily routine.
Dosed to your levels
Your dose is prescribed from your own bloodwork, so you receive what your body needs rather than a general supplement amount.
A good fit when oral iron has not worked
If your levels have stayed low despite supplements, or you need to restore iron more quickly, an infusion may be the next step to discuss.
Supervised, personal care
You are assessed beforehand, with risks and benefits reviewed, so you know what to expect from start to finish.
Not everyone needs an infusion, and that is the point of the process.
Every patient starts with bloodwork and a conversation, so the decision is based on your numbers and your health, not guesswork.
HOW TO QUALIFY
Three steps to your iron infusion
01
Current bloodwork
Bring blood work that is valid within the last 3 months. This shows your current iron status and gives us the numbers we need to assess you.
02
Pre-infusion consultation
We review your levels together and discuss whether an infusion is suitable for you, including the risks and benefits. If it is a fit, the appropriate dose is prescribed.
03
Your infusion visit
Come in for your infusion, which takes up to 90 minutes. Plan to relax in the chair while your iron is delivered.
